We've introduced smart campaigns to automate employee experiences and ensure your people receive the right message at the right time. Here's how it works.

  1. Select campaigns from your main dashboard:

2. Schedule your message

Choose when each message should appear using fixed dates or relative timing. If you wish to set a campaign without a scheduled date, you can use the immediate timing type to send a campaign straightaway.

3. Identify your target audience using our filters.

Any user on your account who matches the Audience rules will be automatically added to the campaign. Any users who no longer match these rules will be removed from the campaign.

4. Create your message. Set up rich emails and homepage banners with custom images, content and links.

To create an email, select add an action and send email.

You must add a subject and content in the text body in order to be able to preview and schedule your email. Without these sections being completed, you will not be able to progress.

The button link and button text are optional however these are great to track the effectiveness of your emails.

Please note if you are linking to a resource with a SCORM course inside, you must share the resource URL, not the SCORM link.

5. Once you're happy with your content and the preview of your email, select schedule and choose the day and time to send your message.

You can also choose smart scheduling which allows Looop to determine the best day and time to target each user based on their profile data:

This means you no longer have to worry about determining which days and times are the most active in a general sense and can instead target each user individually at the time they're most active. You also have the ability to restrict the times someone is contacted so even if they are most active at 11pm, you have a way of restricting the sending of your campaign actions to a time window you wish to set as a rule for the business. To activate this, head to 'account' - 'customise' and select the campaigns tab. Select enable business hours and choose the times you'd like:

If our smart scheduling determines a time that is outside of business hours, we will send the action at the nearest time inside business hours.

Please note smart scheduling is only available on relative campaigns. Please also note we recommend Smart Scheduling to be used ONLY for single actions in a day. If you try to create more than one action using smart scheduling for a single day, you will be presented with the following screen:

If you need to send multiple actions at DIFFERENT times please do not use smart scheduling and set your own times instead.

The timezone of user's will be taken into consideration based on the timezone set on their profile, however if no timezone is set then they will receive the email based on the timezone of your organisation.

6. To create a banner, select add an action and select show a banner.

You must add a banner header, cover image, a button link and button text in order to be able to preview and schedule your banner. Without each of these sections being completed, you will not be able to progress.

Please note if you are linking to a resource with a SCORM course inside, you must share the resource URL, not the SCORM link.

Once you're happy with your content and the preview of your banner, select schedule and choose the days and times to show your message between. You can also change your timezone if you're targeting employees in different locations.

7. Activate your campaign

Once you've completed each of the above steps you can activate your campaign.

Once it's activated, you can easily track your campaign while it’s in progress, report on activity, and measure message effectiveness.
